Hi guys! Apologies for being quiet for the past few months because of several big life and work projects, now I'm back to bring some exciting news! Firstly, IT Guy and I got married in January and we are now officially IT Husband & Art Wife! I drew a comic episode about the day and got tons of blessings from fans - thanks again you lovely people! <3 Life is certainly busier after being married (household chores and taking care of an over-sized man child) but we are slowly getting the hang of it, and I'm getting back on track with my art. Here's a snapshot from our animal-themed wedding photo set. (Remember Po and Horsie from RSJ? They are our aliases, eheheh) Secondly, there will be a IT Guy & Art Girl comic book later this year! The comic caused some hype over the internet and I was invited by a local publisher to make a comic book. This will be my first published comic book and I feel very lucky. IT Guy & Art Girl was a personal project that I started for fun, and honestly I can't believe it's turning into a book just after drawing it for merely 6 months! I will make a blog post later about the perks of creating personal projects.
In the coming months I will be drawing lots of comics for the book. The book will include some comics that are previously posted (usually the most popular ones), and the other 90% will be completely new never-seen-before! This project is not going to be much lucrative, but publishing my first comic book is definitely on my bucket list and means a lot to me. The comic book is planned to come out in late 2019 and will be bilingual (Chinese + English). I will post more about it when we get near the release date! --- Finally, I want your opinion on the comic! Some of you should notice my recent comics became bilingual. Myself being Chinese and that the comic book publishes in Hong Kong, the publisher suggests adding Chinese to the comic book so that it can reach more Asian readers, especially in Taiwan, China, Singapore and Malaysia. Because of this, I started adding Chinese to my new internet comics. I got very positive feedback from Chinese speaking readers and those who are learning Chinese. However I also noticed I'm losing some followers and I thought some fans might not enjoy the additional language. I know it's impossible to please everyone, but I'd love to listen to your thoughts - so please drop a comment about what you think of the bilingual comics that I post online!
